Contracts were signed early March in Dublin for the construction of Gibraltar’s first authentic Irish bar.

O’Reilly’s will be situated on Heart Island, part of Greg Butcher’s Ocean Village marina complex. The traditional Victorian Irish bar interior will be designed and built and fitted by one of Ireland’s leading design teams who have installed over 600 Irish bars around the world.

The bar is being developed by twins Andy & John Hunter who also operate the Lord Nelson, Star Bar, Gibraltar Arms as well as the Britannia Bar in the Cruise Terminal. Andy commented “We look forward to creating a truly authentic Irish bar experience which will feature a superb menu as well as Gibraltar’s most popular draught beers, the bar will also feature a raised stage area so combined with our other outlets we will be able to offer a choice of super live entertainment. With such interior design detail we also expect O’Reilly’s to add to Gibraltar’s tourist offering, this exciting new venture will bring our standard of quality, value and service to Gibraltar’s premier marina frontlocation.”
