Fiduciary Group appoints Marjorie Thomas as MD

The Fiduciary Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Marjorie M. Thomas (formerly DuFeu) as Managing Director.

Marjorie has over 20 years experience in the provision of professional, high quality, Company and Trust services in a number of jurisdictions which include Jersey, Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.  A member of STEP (the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners) she initially obtained a Trustee Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now IFS learning) and was subsequently awarded fellowship after a successful year as President of the Jersey Centre.
She has a number of senior management positions in large multinational organisations such as JP Morgan Chase and Jardines as well as smaller independent service providers.  Having established and run financial service companies in various jurisdictions, liaison with local authorities and compliance with changing regulation has formed an essential part of her work.

Samantha Hemingway joins N&P Building Society

Samantha joined the N&P building Society as the Retail trainer at the beginning of May. She previously worked at Gala casino in Gibraltar for five and a half years in a Human Resources/Training role. Before moving to Gibraltar, Sam worked for British Telecom/O2 mobile communications in the UK leading on a number of Customer Services delivery and people development initiatives.
Sam’s main focus at N&P will be to develop, support and coach team members with the key emphasis on the delivery of customer service and product solutions.

New Head of Treasury & Investor Solutions for RBS International

The Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBS International) in Gibraltar has appointed a new Head of Treasury & Investor Solutions (TIS).

Gerald Rodriguez brings to the role a wealth of experience in investments, having spent the past four years setting up and heading the ABN Amro Private Client Investment team. Amongst his responsibilities, he was in charge of all investment advice to private clients and the selling of structured products. He was also responsible for the monitoring of discretionary portfolios. Prior to this, Gerald worked at Credit Agricole Indosuez where he ran the Forex and Treasury desk and also set up and headed the investment team.
In his new role Gerald will be responsible for managing the TIS team and promoting the business. He will also work closely with Marvin Cartwright to develop the Treasury and Corporate divisions.
Marvin Cartwright, Head of Corporate Banking at RBS International in Gibraltar, commented:

New Business Development Manager appointed at NatWest in Gibraltar

NatWest has appointed Francesca Cartwright as its new Business Development Manager in Gibraltar.
Francesca’s new role will involve proactively growing and developing the Premium Banking service and mortgage business and ensuring the Bank’s excellent standard of customer service is maintained. She will also take responsibility for local community investment and public relations activities.
Francesca, who has worked at the Bank for eleven years, was previously a Relationship Manager in the corporate banking division and a Branch Manager at NatWest.
Francesca commented: ”The Business Development Manager role is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships within the local community.”

Jyske appoints new managers

Jyske Bank is pleased to announce two new faces in their management team.
Henrik Warmdahl Pedersen is the Manager of Private Banking and Jesper Breinholt is the Deputy Manager of Business Development.

Henrik, who is 42 and married with 2 children has worked for Jyske Bank for 11 years. Prior to his appointment in Gibraltar, he was Managing Director of Jyske’s  office in Holland.

Before Jesper joined the Gibraltar branch he was the Manager of a domestic branch in Copenhagen. Jesper, 39 is married with 2 children.
Jyske Bank is a very value driven organisation and employees are encouraged to live by these values. Annual courses are held to ensure the values are revisited and refreshed. Values such as “efficient and perservering” and “different and unpretentious” are continually at the forefront of their minds.
