Magnus Alfredsson joins SG HambrosMagnus Alfredsson has joined SG Hambros Bank (Gibraltar) Limited as a Private Banker.

After finishing his Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2002, Magnus, a 30 year old Swede, worked for Svenska Handelsbanken in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and later on in Sweden. He moved to Gibraltar three years ago to join Jyske Bank (Gibraltar) Limited‘s Scandinavian Team as a Senior Investment Advisor. His new role at SG Hambros will involve developing relationships in the expatriate Scandinavian market. Magnus is a member of Round Table Gibraltar and currently serves as their Secretary.

Copywrite ladies run for charity

Loreto Casas and Kelly-Anne Victor at the finishApril 15th saw more than 4000 women take part in Malaga’s first CARRERA DE LA MUJER. Women of all ages came together to run the 5km circuit, raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer.

Copywrite’s Kelly-Anne and Loreto were amongst the runners finishing in very respectable positions, 107th and 153rd place.

All participants contributed through their registration fees to the Asociación Española Contra el Cancer and the money raised goes to the Breast Cancer Research branch of this association.

VIP trip to the USA

John TreacyA leading commercial banker at RBS International in Gibraltar has been recognised for his record in excellence by his employer and has won a coveted Outstanding Achievement Award.

John Treacy is one of the winners who have been selected from around 5,500 nominations from across the RBS group’s Corporate Banking division. John will travel to Boston, USA, next month where he will be treated to a VIP four day stay alongside his fellow winners, who work mainly for the Bank in the UK.

The trip culminates in a Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony, during which Alan Dickinson, Chief Executive of the RBS group’s UK Corporate Banking division, will name the ‘Banker of
the Year’.

John, who has more than 30 years’ commercial banking experience, has worked for the RBS group for four years.

Amongst his achievements for RBS International in Gibraltar has been the re-structuring of a cash management structure for a leading local company, the execution of the largest property development loan RBS International has written locally and has won several new major business connections despite tough competition.
